CTU-20P-02 TEST UNIT

BOP Test Unit Model CTU-20P-D2 (Dual unit/2 work station)

Unit has three way capability:

A. Tandem operation (both sides together) for single work station up to 15,000 psi for volume (i.e. BOP fill/test).

B. Dual operation (each side individually to test/chart two different work stations simultaneously (i.e. valve test @ 15,000 and hose test @ 22,500).

C. Single unit (either side) while opposite side is shut down (i.e. for repair/maintenance) so primary testing operation is never compromised by failure of one unit.

This unit includes all gauges, valves, filters, etc. for tandem, dual or single station operation.

This unit may be customized to fit the customer's individual requirements for flow rates, max operating psi, etc. This customization may, in fact, be done on the rig (by rig personnel) if a dual application is desired (i.e. - if one application requires more volume instead of higher psi, or vice versa) by merely changing out the plunger sizes on the triplex pump(s). A quick, simple operation which adds great versatility to this unit.

 Features of the "standard" Clover Tool CTU-20P-D2 Test Unit include:

Max operating pressure 22,500psi. (A side @ 15,000psi, B side @ 22,500 psi) Volume - 4gpm @ 15,000psi (tandem operations)

Twin units for various test purposes (Side A - 2.5gpm @ 15,000psi) (Side B - 1.5gpm @ 22,500psi)

Explosion Proof electric components/enclosures as specified for Class 1, Div I cert. opns.

Twin electric-powered Explosion Proof 25 HP motors for max performance (440/460 VAC)

Unit includes Explosion Proof motor starter assemblies (NEMA 7 enclosure w/dual disconnects, fuses, and starUstop/reset buttons) (w/0-ring flanges for waterproofing)

Proprietary design Triplex pumps (2 ea) each w/25 HP rating

Rupture Discs (2 ea per side) (one set at 10% over rated operating psi, the other at 15%)

Synchronous powerbeit drive (2 ea) (inside lockable/auto shutoff access doors for safety)

Unit covers small footprint (appx 7'W x 3'D x 6'H)

All areas of unit not stainless steel (motor, etc.) are marine epoxy coated for offshore use

Easy maintenance access to motors/pumps through lower hinged door panels Access door panels (above) are key-lockable for safety by controlled access. Doors feature safety interlock-switches for each side (to provide automatic shutoff for safety)

High pressure (3,000psi) quick fill valves for hookup to accumulator if desired for faster fill

Valving is eye-level, single-deep, on flat panel for ease of maintenance. Easy access through hinged back panel

Dual (2 ea) stand-alone single pin (mech) chart recorders (1 ea @ 20k/30k) (ea w/6' hose)

Unit has individual ports for each chart recorder/side (A - 9/16AEMP) (B - 3/8AE HP)

Safety rated unit/test pc hoses (50' x 3/8") w/M-type swivel conn/autoclave adaptors (1 ea)

Safety rated unit/test pc hoses (50' x 9/16") w/M-type swivel conn/autoclave adaptors (1 ea)

Hose hanger (for 50' hose) mounted on ea recorder frame

Entire unit of stainless steel construction (incl. frame, doors, panels, etc.) Welded frame for strength (not bolted) w/corner mounted lift eyes (4 ea)

Eye-level mounted control console (incl valving/gauges for tandem, dual, or single work station operations)

Includes canvas unit cover for protection from mud, dirt, cement, etc. Includes all certifications (in-house)/drawings/test results/operations manual (2 ea)

NOTE - Final Acceptance Test (FAT) may be witnessed at plant facilities in Houston, Texas. Any certifications (additional to those provided in-house) requested by customer must be approved by Clover Tool Co. Any additional cost for same is to be borne by customer.
